Deranged Draw

Put anything in. Get anything except your own.

Deranged Draw hands each person someone else’s slip. Game jam ideas, writing prompts, recipes, presentation topics, gifts, challenges: whatever the table agreed to bring.

You write every slip, generate the draw once, and send each person their own private link. Nobody learns whose slip they got, and nobody gets their own.

Write the slips

Shown on every slip. Something like “Game jam ideas, round 4”.

People and what they put in

3 slips. Between 2 and 50.

  1. Slip 1

An idea, a prompt, a recipe, a gift, a topic. Line breaks are kept.

  2. Slip 2

An idea, a prompt, a recipe, a gift, a topic. Line breaks are kept.

  3. Slip 3

An idea, a prompt, a recipe, a gift, a topic. Line breaks are kept.

Once you generate it, the draw is fixed. It cannot be edited or rerolled, so check the slips first. If something is wrong, start a new draw.

How it works

The moment you generate a draw, every slip is shuffled and matched so that no one is matched with their own. All of it is saved together, before any link exists. Opening a link only reads what was already decided, in any order, as many times as you like.

You get one management page listing a private link per person. Each link opens a page that shows one slip and nothing about who wrote it. Two people can put in the same thing; each entry is still its own slip.

There are no accounts. Anyone holding a link can open it, so send each link only to its person and keep the management page’s address to yourself. If you lose it, there is no way to recover the draw. Start a new one.
